Who was part of Carl Reiner's inspiration for the Alan Brady character?

Answer Milton Berle

Many assumed that Rob's toupée-topped tyrant of a boss, Alan Brady, was based on Sid Caesar, whose shows Reiner had worked on for many years. Reiner emphatically denied this claim, explaining in one interview that the character was a combination of Milton Berle, who was "notorious for yelling at his crew and ordering people around", and Jackie Gleason, who "really was mean to his writers".
