Which of these tunnels resulted from the ill-fated $8 billion Central Artery/Tunnel Project, otherwise known as the "Big Dig"?
Answer Ted Williams Tunnel
The Ted Williams Tunnel was the first to open as a result of Boston's "megaproject" dubbed "The Big Dig". Altogether, the tunnel is 8,448 feet long, and travels under the Boston Harbor for less than half of that length. It was named for the famed Boston Red Sox player.
