Which band's groundbreaking 1985 music video for "Take On Me" enjoyed massive MTV airplay?

Answer a-ha

Warner Brothers invested big in the Norwegian synth-pop band a-ha. The unusual comic book-style animation of the "Take On Me" music video was achieved using a meticulous technique called rotoscoping. After shooting the band on location as well as sound stages, a graphic artist spent 16 weeks sketching approximately 3,000 drawings over the individual film frames. In addition to winning eight MTV VMAs and an eternal spot in the network's heavy rotation, the "Take On Me" video was added to the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection.
