When interviewing witnesses, what is retroactive interference?
Answer Altering one's recollection to fit other's information
Human beings are very impressionable. If you've ever played "telephone," then you know how muddled information can become by the end of the line. Similarly, when witnesses talk with others or overhear others discussing the crime, they sometimes alter their recollection or adopt some of what they've overheard, aka retroactive interference.
