Crime scene investigators and detectives can take a crime scene from a pile of ramshackle evidence to an educated point-by-point theory of how things went down. CSI jobs involve examining and taking proper care of the crime scene and its evidence, interviewing witnesses, victims, and suspects, and using inductive and deductive reasoning to arrive at your theories. To be a top crime scene investigator or detective, you must be organized, intuitive, and extremely observant.
From Sherlock Holmes to Miss Marple, both fictional and real-life detectives have been solving crimes since the dawn of time. In real life, federal and state agencies are incredibly competitive to break into. Do you have what it takes to be one of the few to reach the top?
This quiz is adapted from various CSI and forensic lessons across. To see if you have the reasoning and skills required to be a crime scene investigator, get your magnifying glass and dig in.
