Basque is spoken in the Northern Basque region of Spain and the Southwestern region of France. It's an isolated language in terms of linguistics, and totally unrelated to other languages. The native speakers are concentrated in a continuous region that encompasses portions of four Spanish provinces and three French "ancient provinces."
