Key West, Florida claims to be the 20th-century inventor of Key lime pie. Although like many dishes, the origins are hazy, one William Curry – the first millionaire in Key West – was the first to mention the recipe as a pie his "Aunt Sally" baked for him. Although this aunt may have adapted it, the pie is a sweet delicious meringue with a citrus twist.
