There's direct evidence and then there's circumstantial evidence. Which of these is the latter?

Answer O.J. Simpson's glove

When evidence presented during a trial may suggest but not directly prove that something is true, it's called circumstantial evidence. One famous example of this is O.J. Simpson's glove. A pair of matching gloves was found, split between Simpson's property and the murder scene. Although this might suggest that the suspect was at the victim's property, it alone doesn't directly confirm he was there, that the gloves were his, nor that he was wearing them at the time of the murder.
