Kind of like Scotland's Loch Ness, there's a legendary monster in one of Alaska's lakes. In what body of water is this monster - or more likely, a white sturgeon or sleeper shark - thought to exist?

Answer Iliamna Lake

Iliamna Lake is located in southwest Alaska between Kvichak Bay and Cook Inlet. As the largest lake in the entire state, it's 77 miles long and more than 20 feet wide. It's also the third-largest lake entirely in the United States. The monster that supposedly lives there is likely a large fish or shark, but that hasn't stopped the Anchorage Daily News from offering $100,000 for proof that it exists.
