John Chapter 6 refers to the feeding of the 5,000, which is mentioned in all four gospels. But only the gospel of John mentions what apostle who Jesus directly asks "How are we going to feed all of these people?"

Jesus asks this question in the other accounts as well, but the writers never indicate that an individual answers. Only John recalls the brave apostle who tosses out a suggestion based on human observation, which is - to paraphrase - "Yeah, good question, it will take a lot of money." Philip gets the most recognition in John's account.
