The Most Unique Gospel: See How Much You Know About the Book Of John In This Bible Quiz

Last updated · 15 min play time

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke are similar to each other, but not copies of each other.  Scholars believe Matthew and Luke used Mark as source material and added important details that they saw as necessary and important.  They are "synoptic" Gospels, which means "seen together."

John is a unique Gospel.  It has its own style and its own purpose.  John, the youngest of the apostles, lived the longest and probably read the other accounts, but was inspired to present another account with its own unique stories, many not found in the other Gospels.
