It's getting bumpy! What is NOT a cause of turbulence?
Answer Sound
Turbulence is no picnic. But at its core, turbulence usually isn't cause for concern, though it can inspire fear in passengers. It's usually a result of sudden airflow, such as jet streams or hot air rising from storms or cumulus clouds. It can also be caused by tall buildings or mountains which disturb the wind flow above them. Even other airplanes can create turbulence, which is why they don't fly in another's wake.
