Answer Watches
In 1886, at only 22, Richard Warren Sears founded the R.W. Sears Watch Company in Minneapolis. By 1887, with business flourishing, Sears moved to Chicago and soon produced a 50-page mail-order catalog with his partner Alvah Roebuck devoted entirely to watches, and was soon selling thousands of dollars worth of "fully guaranteed" watches each month.
