You've reached 40,000 miles and it's time to check some fluids. What color should your brake fluid be, assuming it is still good?
Answer Clear to slightly yellow
Brake fluid begins life as clear to slightly yellow. If it darkens significantly, that means it is time to replace it. If you have any other colors, you probably put the wrong liquid in there, which is a whole other kind of problem.
