You probably had no idea this car, famous in the 1970's, actually first appeared in 1958. It was only around in the tail end of the decade, but it was still a speed demon on the road.

This speedy car turns out to be the Dodge Challenger. It is still in production and still holding its own when it comes to speed. However, the cars produced in the 1950's really share very little more than the name "Challenger" with the modern day sports cars.
