X-Men's Dr. Hank McCoy, otherwise known as "Beast" was known for his ape-like superhuman physical strength and his hyper-intellectual mannerisms. His catchphrase, "Oh my stars and garters" was first used by him in The Avengers #137, published in July, 1975.
