Why does Angela end her relationship with Dwight in season four?

After asking Dwight to care for her sick cat, Sprinkles, Angela is dismayed to learn that her pet has died. She begins to suspect that Dwight had a part in Sprinkles' death, and when it comes to light that Dwight had performed what he felt was a mercy killing, Angela is unable to forgive him.
