Who is the house ghost of Gryffindor House?
Answer Nearly Headless Nick
Before his execution, Nearly Headless Nick was known as Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington. A stuck-up member of Henry VII's entourage, Nick's ego was as big as his name. After an unfortunate accident where he tried to makeover a noblewoman and instead gave her tusks, Nick was beheaded in 1492 — almost. His head is still barely attached by a grisly combination of sinew and skin. Ever the elitist, he remains envious of ghosts that are legitimately headless.
