Robert Muldoon, a skilled hunter and former game warden in Kenya, was appointed by John Hammond to be Jurassic Park's first official game warden. In that capacity, it was his job to keep the dinosaurs in line and to keep them in their cages. So it would be reasonable to say he failed spectacularly at his job.
