Who first used the term "Super Bowl" to refer to the first AFL–NFL Championship Game?

Answer Lamar Hunt

Owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, Lamar Hunt first coined the term Super Bowl for the AFL–NFL Championship Game in 1966 before the game at the beginning of the following year. The Kansas City Star newspaper quoted Hunt as saying it and the media picked up on this term rather than the leagues' chosen name of AFL–NFL Championship Game.
