While most American cars in the '40s were just warmed-over versions of their pre-war models, this one looked like something out of the future. It had safety features, a padded dash, and a third headlight. Can you guess its name?

Answer Tucker 48

The Tucker 48 was introduced in 1948, and conceived by Preston Tucker. Only 51 of these cars were made, before the company was forced to declare bankruptcy due to negative publicity. Tucker, however, suspected that the Big Three were part of its demise.
