Years before becoming world-famous tech titans, what company's cofounders met in middle school in 1967?
Answer Microsoft
Paul Allen met fellow Lakeside School student and computer enthusiast Bill Gates when Allen was 14 and Gates was 12. Less than a decade later, the two Harvard dropouts founded a little computer company. Allen proposed combining the words "Microprocessor" and "Software" and they began referring to themselves as "Paul Allen and Bill Gates doing business as Micro-Soft". Eventually, the hyphen, the capital 'S', and the rest of it fell off and Microsoft became the official name. By the way, if you guessed Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs, you were close: they met as teenagers as well.
