Which NCAA athletic conference includes schools such as Duke University, Georgia Tech and Florida State University?

The Atlantic Coast Conference was established in 1953 when Maryland, Duke, UNC, NC State, Clemson, South Carolina and Wake Forest departed the Southern Conference because of a ban on post-season football. Two of the founding member schools are now in other conferences, but the ACC contains more than double the original number of universities.
