Which Hogwarts faculty member is a werewolf?

Remus Lupin teaches Defense Against the Dark Arts during Harry Potter's third year at Hogwarts. Harry and Ron first encounter him on the Hogwarts Express; Lupin looks like he's on death's door, until he springs to life and defends the boys against a dementor. Harry later learns that Lupin attended Hogwarts with Harry's father, James, and was one of his closest friends.
