Which grade focuses most on social development and student-to-student interactions?

The minute students enter their world of learning, their first interactions with other students begin. This is why kindergarten is most focused on social development, as opposed to fundamental academics...although, there's plenty of that too, as the alphabet and simple sentence structure are learned at this grade level.
