Canada doesn't really scream "snakes" as other countries might (we're looking at you, Australia). But one of its provinces – Manitoba – has the highest concentration of snakes in the world. Some 70,000 snakes, particularly the red-sided garter snake, appear after hibernation in a region of the province.
