Which ancient Greek used his bathtub to discover the principle of the density and buoyancy of water?

Answer Archimedes

According to legend, Archimedes was tasked with determining whether or not a crown was pure gold and to do so he needed to determine the density (mass/volume). The mass was easy enough, but he didn't know how to find the volume of such a unique shape until he was in a bath and the water level rose. It is thought that upon making this discovery, Archimedes said "Eureka"!
