Timisoreana beer takes its name from the Romanian city of Timișoara, where a brewery was founded in 1718 at the request of Prince Eugene of Savoy. In 2001, it was purchased by the Romanian beer produced Ursus Breweries, which, in turn, became a subsidiary of Asahi Breweries in 2017.
