Where is Pilsner Urquell from?

Pilsner Urquell Brewery, more formally known as Plzeňský Prazdroj in Czech, was established in 1842 in the city of Plzeń — the birthplace of pilsner beer. In fact, this is what the brewery’s name alludes to, as it roughly translates to English as “the source of Pilsner.” Now owned by the Japanese Asahi Breweries conglomerate, Pilsner Urquell is the larger beer producer and exporter in Czechia.
