Where is Kirin Ichiban from?

The beer that is now known as Kirin Ichiban was originally produced by the Spring Valley Brewery Company, established in 1869 in the city of Yokohama by a Norwegian-American beer brewer. Since then, the brewery has evolved into the integrated Kirin Brewery Company, a subsidiary of the Mitsubishi Group. Meanwhile, the Kirin Ichiban lager remains one of Japan’s best-selling beers.
