Where is Budweiser Budvar from?

Don’t confuse this beer variety with its American counterpart of the same name. The Budweiser Budvar Brewery was founded in in the Czech city of České Budějovice (or Budweis in German) all the way back in 1895 and has been disputing its trademark rights with Anheuser-Busch almost ever since them. This trademark dispute resulted in the American Budweiser selling as simply “Bud” in many European countries.
