Where is Amstel from?

Founded in 1870 in Amsterdam, Amstel was one of Heineken’s main rivals for many years until the latter took over the brewery in 1968. Prior to its acquisition by Heineken, Amstel was primarily known as an export-first beer, brewed and produced in India, Latin America, and the Middle East. Today, it is best-known for its flagship 4.1% ABV pale lager.
