Answer Studebaker Lark

The Lark VI and Lark VIII were two of the available series, and both names denoted whether the engines had six or eight cylinders. The "Deluxe" and "Regal" trim levels were offered for both series. The Lark "flew" in the face" of most established "longer, lower and wider" style conventions promoted by Detroit's "Big Three" manufacturers with its basic grille (similar to that featured on the 1956-1959 Hawk), limited and tasteful use of chrome, and clean lines (General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler). Although the Lark wasn't quite as plain-looking as the Scotsman from 1957 to 1958, it was undeniably more streamlined than anything Detroit would offer for 1959, with the exception of the Thunderbird.
