When does a Nand logic gate turn on?
Answer When both or either input is on
The Nand gate provides an output when either input 1 or input 2 is on, or when neither are on. The only time it does not give an output is when both are on. This makes it the inverse of the and gate, which makes sense because Nand stands for "Not-And."
