When did Hogan's Heroes first appear on German TV?

Fearing the WWII show would offend German viewers, German film distributor KirchGruppe held onto the program for years. When it was originally broadcast in Germany in 1992, it seemed their fears were valid. However, the dialogue was rewritten to make the characters even greater caricatures, after which the show took off running.
