Succotash is southern dish made mostly of sweet corn and lima beans. Sometimes people throw in meat, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and other vegetables. Daffy Duck wasn't the only character to utter "sufferin' succotash," as it was used by Sylvester as well (it was the go-to phrase of lisping cartoon characters).
