What's the name of Serena's brother, who's depicted nice and pleasant to practically anybody?

Eric is Serena's brother and Lily's son. He's knowledgeable and offers excellent counsel when someone, especially Serena, who comes to him when she wants someone to talk to. Sadly, he left the show at the conclusion of the fourth season.
