What top-of-the-line mid-size car, a subseries of the Chevelle, was introduced in 1964?
Answer Chevrolet Malibu
From 1964 until 1972, the original Malibu was a top-of-the-line subseries of the Chevrolet Chevelle, a mid-sized car. A comprehensive selection of body styles, including a two-door Sport Coupe hardtop, convertible, and two-seat station wagon, were often offered for Malibus. The Malibu SS performance package was only available as a two-door Sport Coupe hardtop or convertible with added bucket seats, a center console, engine gauges, and unique wheel covers. It was also available with any six-cylinder or V8 engine offered in other Chevelles, with a 300 cu in V8 being the top option.
