Long admired for its styling, the Karman Ghia was created with assistance from various people at Carrozzeria Ghia and was heavily inspired by Virgil Exner's work. In 1974, however, it stopped selling in North America due to its lack of a seat belt. Most of the Type 34s were sold from 1962 to 1969 in Europe.
