Although the Studebaker-Packard Corporation manufactured the Lark from its launch, in 1962 the firm returned to its pre-1945 identity, the Studebaker Corporation. Starting with the 1963 Cruiser, the Lark brand was progressively phased out of the business catalog, and by early 1964 all Lark-based vehicles were sold under the Commander, Daytona and Cruiser name.
