Known as Risalamande in Denmark, ris à la Malta in Sweden and riskrem in Norway, this Scandinavian Christmas treat is made with rice pudding mixed with vanilla, whipped cream and chopped almonds. One almond is left whole, and the whole group of celebrators eats the pudding until the almond is found, with the winner getting a prize.
