Smith Rock State Park is located in central Oregon's High Desert region, between Redmond and Terrebonne. The park has steep tuff and basalt cliffs which are excellent for rock climbing of all degrees of difficulty. Smith Rock is also known as the birthplace of contemporary American sport climbing.
