Babs had met Elvis 49 years prior and had invited him to take the male lead opposite her in a Broadway production. Elvis declined, reportedly because his girlfriend wouldn't understand. She integrated his voice with hers in this new duet version of "Love Me Tender," which Elvis had recorded solo in 1956.
