What percentage of police officers in the United States are female?

Answer 13%

While women continue to fill a number of clerical jobs, out of a workforce of 900,000 sworn officers, approximately 13% are female. Women have been stereotyped as the weaker sex but have been increasingly working at proving themselves able to work alongside men in what can be a very physically demanding job, and long hours that do not mix can make it difficult to mesh with family obligations.
