What palace serves as the meeting place for both the House of Commons and the House of Lords — the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom?

Answer Palace of Westminister

The Palace of Westminster was first built in 1016, over 1000 years ago. However, it was demolished in 1834 due to the Great Fire of London. It was rebuilt in 1876 in a Gothic Revival style, designed by Charles Barry.
