What is the name of this kangaroo baby that spends around 8 months in its mother's pouch?

Answer Joey

When baby joeys are born they are less than an inch long and immediately climbs into its mother's pouch. The joey then spends the next two months growing in its mother's pouch before it occasionally will start to explore the outside world, hopping back into the pouch whenever it feels threatened until around 8 months of age. Some other species whose babies are called joeys are koalas, opossums, and wallabies.
