What is an alternative method for getting uncontaminated water from a watering hole that is clearly contaminated?
Answer Dig a hole a number of feet away from the waters edge. Go down deep enough until you hit water seeping in and collect that water.
It is best to leave that water alone if you can't treat it somehow. Better to do the digging until you reach water that has been naturally filtered to some extent by the ground itself.
