What famous French author wrote the iconic Phantom of the Opera?
Answer Gaston Leroux
Gaston Leroux wrote the famous French novel The Phantom of the Opera. The book was partially inspired by historical events at the Paris Opera in the nineteenth century. The rest of it is a fictitious story about Carl Maria von Weber's 1841 staging of Der Freischütz using a former ballet pupil's skeleton.
