Emergency Medical Technicians are called on most frequently to deliver babies who make their entry unexpectedly and to treat injuries sustained in car accidents. There is also a high incidence of calls to treat for sudden myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) and stab wounds or gunshot injuries inflicted during arguments or other personal violence issues.
