What do you have to periodically do to cutting tools to keep them working properly?

If you feel like your chisel isn't working as well as it did just a week ago, you may want to sharpen it. Most times when a bladed tool doesn't seem to be performing well, chances are it's dull. Invest in a sharpening tool, so you will never have a dull moment. (Get it?)
